A special “shout out” to our new friend, Frank, who invited us to place a new pan, tilt and zoom live cam at this great location on Boone Lake in eastern Tennessee near Johnson City and Gray. When the camera pans to the far left you can see Rockingham Marina in the distance. This vantage point captures some awesome sunrises AND sunsets on both ends of the quiet cove.
Boone Lake offers 131 miles of shoreline and encompasses 4,520 acres in Washington and Sullivan counties. The shoreline is highly developed by private landowners and little public land is available. Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Striped Bass, Hybrid Striped Bass, and catfish are the predominant game fish. Since Boone can support high densities of fish, the TWRA has stocked Blue Catfish, Striped Bass, Hybrid Striped Bass, and Black Crappie during the past several years to enhance the fishery.
